EPT

Margaret Mead:EPT                                                                I agree with with Mead's argument, from the beginning of our childhood we were taught, not only by our parent but from also our family's and out teacher to admire the people that got higher grade. I had a personal experience myself, I  was told by my parent to admire my older sister, she was a good student, with excellent grades, they told me to look up to her.                                                                We all have different talent, life in Math and English etc. life is life this , if you have your good education, you get a good profession and if you have a good profession you will have a good good. Now, good houses are in different community, community that have money and has had a good education like you. These people in my perspective are successful in life. Now like Mead said   ''The concept of success is a source of confusion'', in my eyes success is going trough school, going to collage, having a professional profession and have a good life. There is really nothing to be confused about. I think success is just being someone in life, reaching your life goals.                                                    In life we are told to follow the foot steps of the person that is most likely to succeed, but why follow a person's foot step, when you can create your own path, these mean that you don't have to become someone who were told be.

Whats An American                                                                                         An American is a person that is loyal to its governments. In my opinion an American is a person who basically has an advantage to succeed in life. I am not a full United States American, I am a Mexican-American. I really don't have an advantage to be someone really important. I guess that I am an American citizen now because of the new laws Obama has passed.                                              The new law has help a lot of Mexican- American.  There's a lot of immigrant driving and when being stop by the police they are asked for there drivers license and they don't have one and as a result there car is taken away, but now we can now have the chance to get our drivers license. Applying for jobs is also an obstacle for us, why? well because to have a good paying job, it is required to have a good social security.                                                                                                                  I am proud to be Mexican-American because i recently found out that the U.S. is providing weapon to other country. I dislike the fact that the United State get into war that they weren't suppose to be in. Being American is advance opportunities to be someone in life. All immigrant don't have that head start American have, we got to start from the bottom and work hard to have a good career.                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Americans have that privilege to travel the world with out being told to go back where they came from. We don't get to travel and see whats out there we don't have that opportunity that American do have.  overall in my opinion being an American is to have a chance to be someone in life. American's is full of a lot of things hate, power etc. All i got to say is that people should be proud of where you came from.

Autobiographical Narrative                                                                               My favorite subject is history because I enjoy learning on how countries were form and how they fought wars and as a result got the independence. I see history as a key to understand the future. One of my favorite topic is on Cesar Chavez. he was a great leader. He fought for Hispanic right with a none violence movement. Instead of using violence he grape boycotted. Chavez fast for about 25 days. he was part of a group named UFW (United Farm Worker). I also like learning about my rights as a U.S. citizen.                                                                                                                                    I was born in Mexico, on November 27, 1997. I am 16 years old. I have 1 brother and 2 sister. My father is a chef and my mother cleans schools. I play soccer and volleyball, my favorite team is Barcelona and my favorite player is Lionel Messi. I recently join the LAPD cadet program. This program can help  me in my future. I would like to work for LAPD. my job as a cadet is to reinforce the law or well try. My favorite English teacher is Ms.Erudite.  Her laugh is funny . When I can I go work with my mom, it's too much work for her and I like helping her. My best best friend is Johnathan Hurtado. We play in the same soccer team and we also play ping pong during lunch with D.Johnson. It's really hard been an undocumented person, i feel like all doors close down on me, in order to succeed I must work hard and receive education. I want to have a good paying job. My life goals is playing professional soccer or volleyball but right now I'm setting my eyes on been a LAPD officer. For me, been an American is a person that has many opportunity's to have a good life. I don't get to travel and have the experience to see whats out there. My sister is attending LACC and has2 jobs and yes she us undocumented as well. Life is seriously hard not only for us, Latinos, but for all the people that migrate here to the U.S., to get a better life for their families We have to put up with racial comments and deal with it. I went Vine Street Elementary, then attended to Bancroft Middle School, and i am now attending FairFax Senior High School. My life is base upon ups and downs.
